Michael
Godard's work is highly collected by celebrities as well as
private collectors, and can be found in numerous selected
art galleries, homes and businesses throughout the US. This
year alone, Michael Godard has appeared on MTV, ABC, NBC,
OCN, KOCE, KCET, Evening Magazine, Discovery Channel, along
with radio and magazine interviews and over a dozen art shows.
He is the first artist commissioned in California to paint
a life-size-cow, part of the New York and Chicago "Cows on
Parade" which has appeared on the Today Show, Oprah and many
media formats.
Godard has known since childhood that it is paint that flows
through his viens. Michael attended the University
of Nevada in Las Vegas with a Fine Arts major and later attended
Art Center College of Design in Pasedena.
After
college he began work as a freelance illustrator with such clients
as Coca Cola,
Dodge, Sax Fifth Avenue, and a dozen other well known corporations.
Although the themes vary, Godard's Art changes the face of even
the most traditional subjects, creating mood and mystery on canvas
at times painted so realistic you feel as though the subjects
will
reach out and touch you.
Godard finds unique ways of unfolding this delicate balance of texture, color, technique, realism, humor, and imagination to evoke drama and emotion. No matter what the subject, from crocodiles cruising convertibles to children blowing bubbles at the beach, one thing gallery owners and the public agree on, "Michael Godards paintings are incredible." |
