GENE FRANCIS

A “NEW” NORMAN ROCKWELL
PAINTING LOCAL LIFE OF CENTRAL CALIFORNIA

Raised by his Grandfather, Gene taught himself to draw and paint. A somewhat isolated childhood allowed Gene Francis to create a world from friends and fantasy. Somewhere along the way, his style began to show the influence of Norman Rockwell. Gene has the same knack for seeing an isolated moment of significance in everyday events that Norman Rockwell popularized on the covers of the Saturday Evening Post. Today, Gene paints and converses will all who drop by his studio/gallery on Garden street in San Luis Obispo. Gene paints from a fertile imagination and he will paint on commission.
